House of Ithaqua is set to return for another autumn at the Cherry Artspace with their production of Lucas Hnath's The Thin Place, running for six showings October 18-19 and 24-26. 

Auditions will be held Saturday, August 17, and Sunday, August 18, from 10am to 4pm.

The House of Ithaqua’s production of “The Skriker” is listed as no. 2 on the Ithaca top 10 list!

"I'm going to be around when the world as we know it ends." So says The Skriker, the eponymous character at the center of Caryl Churchill's 1994 play by the same name, which House of Ithaqua will stage at The Cherry ArtSpace November 15-17 and 21-23.

House of Ithaqua tackles this slippery script with confident direction and adroit acting, casting a chilly spell which helps sustain a fairly long production.

Local theatre troupe House of Ithaqua is producing Martin McDonagh’s “The Pillowman” at Risley Theatre this month, and it opens tonight with showings through next weekend.

The original impulse was also towards supernatural darkness, but now has landed more on the darkness of the everyday. Straddling those two poles is HOI’s latest venture, “The Pillowman” by Martin McDonagh, opening this Thursday at Risley Theatre.

House of Ithaqua, a newly created, privately funded multimedia organization that specializes in horror and weird fiction. The group’s name is derived from Ithaqua, a yeti-like monster that’s featured in H.P. Lovecraft’s Cthulhu Mythos; Lovecraft is also one of Teitelbaum’s major influences.

A new kind of theater company is coming to Ithaca hoping to fill a niche in the scene: dark commentary theater that explores the horrors of life we all face.
